Cold work
Cold working steel refers to high-carbon, high-chromium tool steels optimized for shaping and forming metal at ambient temperatures. These steels exhibit exceptional hardness, wear resistance, and dimensional stability, making them ideal for applications such as stamping, blanking, bending, and extrusion of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Their microstructure, typically martensitic after heat treatment, delivers the toughness needed to withstand repeated mechanical stress without deformation.
