High-speed steel
High-speed steel (HSS) is a family of high-performance tool steels renowned for retaining hardness and cutting efficiency at elevated temperatures, typically up to 600–700°C. Formulated with chromium, molybdenum, tungsten, and vanadium additions, HSS delivers an optimal balance of wear resistance, toughness, and heat resistance—critical for high-speed machining, drilling, tapping, and milling of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
